TELC is a small town founded in 1315 by Vitkovci family the same family that founded Cesky Krumlov. The city was rebuilt in 1386 after a big fire which destroyed almost a half of the city. A very beautiful part of town is a long square with lots of Renaissance and Baroque houses. The city also has a Renaissance chateau, which was built in the 16th century, the location is near the square.

This Renaissance chateau was rebuilt in 1550 and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1992. You can take a guided tour of the castle and see the historic interiors, or just stroll through the castle courtyard and garden.
